Welcome to our Antiques and Vintage Emporium, offering 3,000 sq ft of retail space at a stunning countryside location in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Our building is directly adjacent to a long established high-end retail outlet selling fabulous home wares and luxury leather goods.  We have over 40 unique and eclectic Traders selling everything from antique furniture, art, jewellery, gifts, & vintage clothing to steampunk lighting, craft items, collectible toys and vintage handbags.

There is a small, contemporary gallery upstairs, and we are creating a funky meeting room which will be available for hire for all manner of things, including business meetings, networking, pop-up art exhibitions, art and craft classes and many other interesting events.

We have a vintage tea room, The Wildflower Cafe serving fabulous coffee and cake, along with breakfasts, snacks, light lunches and afternoon teas.

You can also buy gifts and flowers, or order bespoke floral arrangements from our florist, Flowers by Catherine.

Our aim is to bring something new to the community and become a welcoming hub for local artists, musicians and craftspeople, promoting the best of Hertfordshire talent, and offering a welcoming place to relax with a fine coffee whilst leafing through our collection of vintage books, or relaxing on one of our many sofas.

You are always welcome, whether to buy or to browse, or to just come and hang out with us and read the paper.  We look forward to welcoming you!

We are interested in buying all kinds of antiques, vintage items and curios, and also offer a sensitive and compassionate house clearance service.

We are also available for filming, photo shoots and prop hire.

  1. Hello
I recently picked up one of your leaflets at Ayot St.Lawrence and subsequently checked out your website. What an inspiring vision you have.
May I introduce myself. I am an artist living and working in St Albans and always looking for opportunities to show my work. I have a large collection of work here in the studio which you are welcome to view. I have exhibited in many prestigious mixed shows in addition to one man exhibitions.
I know the area of Woodcock Hill very well and often visit the wonderful Osprey shop close by.
Should you be interested drop me an email.
    Kind Regards
    Michael Cull

    1. Hi Michael, Thank you for your lovely words! Yes I would be most interested in seeing your work. At the moment we have a huge amount of work to do, so we don’t actually have any ‘space’ available to view. I have just added a video of the inside, so you can have a look at our building! Please let me have your email address, mobile number and website (if you have one) and I’ll contact you a bit nearer opening day. Thanks for your interest in our project!
      Kind regards

  2. We had visited one of favourite places, an outlet on the same site as Three Wise Monkeys (the old Saddlery) yesterday and, upon leaving, we noticed that the door was open to the adjacent barn … and were completely blown away with what we saw when we walked inside! We had such a great chat with the owners, a husband and wife duo, who shared with us all the wonderful plans they had. We were only there half an hour … but we bought an vintage oak chair (c.1900), old fashioned wicker basket, an antique oak coal box (c.1910) and the most amazing antique Warren’s Rotary Knife Cleaner (c.1885) (still in tact) upcycled into retro lamp with gold bulb. We will definitely be back! We are so looking forward to the Cafe opening on or about 17 September. See you soon guys.
